Positive: Breakfast was always on time (having chosen the time we wanted the night before) it was always ready for us when we came down to the gallery. A boiled egg, little Dutch pancakes, fresh fruit, granola and yoghurt, ham, cheese and selection of breads and croissant - all really fresh and tasty. As others have said, the sandwich shop next door produces wonderful food that can be eaten in the hotel for lunches. The room (we had Airplane Builder) was quirky and very comfortable with a brilliant view over the canals at the front of the hotel. There were many plus points for this hotel, especially if you like quirky and individual, but one of the main standouts is the friendliness of the staff - they are all exceptionally caring, chatty and helpful. The hotel is an easy walk from the central train station but in a quiet area. There is a lift but it is very small, and the staircase is very tight and spiral so access up and down is good exercise for the day!
