Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Fabulous rustic location on Dartmoor for walking etc. Warm welcome and very clean room and bathroom. Evening meal was really excellent (I had a really good steak perfectly cooked over the open fire) with my wife having fresh fish and scallops, all beautifully cooked and the service was excellent. Everything is organic including the wines, everything good. It is rustic with a capital “R” not the Ritz which is what we expected and wanted. Breakfast was also very good with good choice etc. We would definitely go again. Thank you for a great stay with really tasty food.

Negative: OK so this is picky… the curtains in the room weren’t great and could do with replacing and maybe tidy up the bins outside a bit… I did say it was picky! This really should not put you off.

Summary: Rustic with a capital “R” with great food and friendly staff in the middle of Dartmoor! We loved it!
