The Hall was built in 1658 and has been lovingly restored to offer a number of original features including sandstone walls and oak beams. All rooms are en-suite and offer flat-screen TVs, complimentary teas/coffees and toiletries. The Annex rooms all have super king-size beds which convert into twins for large golfing, walking and fishing parties and walk in wet rooms. A number of rooms offer views towards the fells. Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The bedroom was very clean and roomy. Beer garden large and tidy. Staff were very pleasant.

Negative: The mattress on the bed could do with a change very soft. There were no comfortable chairs to relax no lounge area. The restaurant food was terrible. We sent back three tapas style chicken dishes and were still charged for them along with drinks we had not ordered. Fortunately we caught the error and they were removed.Prices expensive food quality very poor.

Summary: I wouldn’t stay here again.
