Positive: The good points were the excellent location, it’s close to the town centre, and the breathtaking views.

Negative: What can I say? The room facilities were disappointing. The ventilation was very poor, and at night, once we had to close the windows, the room became unbearably stuffy. I could hardly sleep. There was supposedly a complimentary gin provided, but there was barely anything left in the bottle when we arrived, which was quite off-putting. The staff were doing their jobs and were polite to a degree, but they didn’t come across as particularly welcoming or friendly.

Summary: We will come back to Salcombe but probably won’t stay at the same hotel.
