Summary: Room looked tired and was in need of updating and shower floor needed a full re-grout. But the restaurant and bar area were lovely and the food was surprisingly good. Had to send my starter back, as despite declaring I was a coeliac 3 times, on booking, on entry to the restaurant and again on ordering, they still sent it out with normal bread on. Once highlighted though the staff were quick to send it back and it was re-made which was good. So often the offending item is simply removed, but I was happy they remade it. The staff were lovely too. And the food was surprisingly good. Yes the hotel is tired, we didn't use the spa so couldn't comment, but we had a lovely stay anyway.
