Summary: This is a beautiful property with lovely gardens and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a true retreat. The beds were very comfortable, and we had high hopes for our stay. We stayed in one of the cottages. While the cottage itself was charming, the upstairs bedroom was quite cramped, stuffy, and uncomfortably hot. The biggest disappointment was that neither the internet nor the television worked during our stay. We discovered the issue ourselves and had to contact staff three separate times before they identified and communicated that there was a hardware problem. As a result, we were unable to watch television or movies, or use the internet to plan the next stages of our trip. What was most frustrating was not the outage itself, but the response. Staff initially seemed unaware of the problem, and there was little sense of urgency or apology once it was confirmed. No alternative solution, compensation, or acknowledgment was offered, and no one asked about our stay when we checked out. This property has many wonderful qualities, and with more attentive customer service and better communication when problems arise, it could provide a much better guest experience. Unfortunately, the lack of internet and television, combined with the staff's response, left us disappointed.
