Summary: Stairs/hallway leading the room are all scratched and dirty. The rooms are just as run down as the stairs/hallway. Massive black marks on the wall. Towels were white but are now grey as they were old, poor quality and rough to dry yourself on. Bath robes i did not touch as they were also dirty looking and rough. Carpets were dirty. Photos showed coffee machine and pods but that wasn't there anymore. Breakfast was below average, sausage was more like a fried hotdog. No salt, pepper or sauces provided. I don't ever complain, but on this occasion i feel i need to as i paid £230 for this room which was described as luxury. It really isn't, it so run down it resembles the quality you'd imagine in a hostel. Im sure it was luxury 10 years ago, but £230 i paid for 1 night is not justified just for its central location, which was the only positive I was embarrassed as this was a surprise for a 40th birthday. I was embarrassed as it looked like id got the room cheap. But I paid luxury prices for a run down room with dirty rough towels etc
