Summary: Room was nice and hotel itself is in a great location and would stay again. Only reason for 3 stars was we were not told about the private function on the Saturday night which meant the kitchen was closed when we arrived and sky bar was not taking any bookings. We had an event on at the hydro so were unable to eat in the restaurant when it opened back up at 6pm. If we had been told about this when booking, we would have made plans to eat in town before heading down to the hotel to get ready for the night. Spoke to manager at the time about being disappointed with the situation but she didn’t seem too bothered and told us that there were restaurants 20 mins walk away in the pouring rain. Not ideal when we had booked the hotel for its location to the hydro.
