With original stone flooring, this 18th-century coaching inn is close to the medieval town center, 2625 feet from Beverley Rail Station and Beverley Minster. Fully refurbished in 2018, it has free on-site parking, rooms with attached bathroom and a restaurant. The interior seamlessly blends many original features from 1794, including the arches in the old kitchen, with more modern artwork, log fires and woodburners. Positive: Room was very well appointed. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Bathroom was spotless.

Negative: Self and Partner both unable to access wifi in room or throughout hotel. Receptionist unhelpful when requesting assistance. Suggested the problem was our phones (IPhones) which was not the case. Suggesting that it might be hotel's equipment issue was brushed aside - 'Nothing I can do about that. No-one else has come to me with a problem so it must be you'. Had I been needing to do serious work that would not have been possible. Unfortunately the receptionists attitude and dismissal of my concern were not of the professional standards expected, and indeed delivered by all other staff.

Summary: Relaxing and comfortable. No need to go out: it was Friday of storm Claudia. Eat and drink in!
