Positive: Blockley itself is a beautiful and quaint town, and the cottage has a lovely aesthetic.

Negative: Unfortunately, our overall stay was impacted by a number of setbacks and disappointments. We arrived at the stated check-in time of 3pm but had not received any check-in instructions from the hosts. After chasing this ourselves, we were then informed that check-in was delayed by an hour. There was no welcome manual or WiFi password provided,we had to locate this ourselves. Basic amenities were also missing, including tea and coffee. The baby cot we paid for did not have sheets provided, there were no coat hangers in the wardrobe, and there was a blown lightbulb in the bathroom, which meant we had to use the facilities in the dark. I reached out to the host multiple times during our stay to resolve these issues but received no response. For the price paid, the level of service and attention to detail was not adequate, which was disappointing given the otherwise lovely setting.

Summary: A beautiful cottage in a charming setting, but let down by poor communication and a lack of basic amenities.
