Positive: The room was very large, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was large with an excellent shower and large bath. The toiletries were very good quality. Warm fluffy towels. The room was well equipped. There was a private car park. The continental breakfast included excellent porridge and pastries and fruit. The cooked breakfasts looked very good.The staff were all charming, friendly and helpful.

Negative: The room was gloomy as the window was small, the pillows too soft, too many stairs to get from the car park to the reception and then we had to go outside the hotel and up more stairs to get to the room itself. Quite difficult with luggage. The room looked out on the street so there was a lot of heavy traffic noise. There were three deep steps from the bedroom up to the bathroom so going there at night was rather hazardous unless you put the light on.The first day we had a longer wait at breakfast and dinner than on day two but there was a wedding party there so that was understandable.

Summary: A pretty good hotel for a short stay but perhaps not long term because of its location and layout.
