Positive: Comfortable beds with quality bedding. Friendly staff. Lovely Rib Eye steak and chips - piping hot plate too.

Negative: Room 4 had a slight water leak from the bathroom radiator (reported to staff on first night of two day stay), informed there were no other rooms available so I ensured a small hand towel was positioned at all times on floor to stop water travelling across tiles posing a risk falling for either myself or my elderly mother. Reminded a different member of staff on checking out the issue was still there and needed addressing before anybody had an accident falling. Net curtains on french doors leading out to the patio were ripped in several places which let the room down. No air con, portable fan only - stayed during an unexpected heatwave so rooms were very warm at night. Reserved a table for dinner at 7pm, on the first day, we both looked forward to sampling fresh fish (Haddock) but when ordering we were informed there was none left. The private patio had not been swept for quite some time, this was obvious as either side of the patio had piles of dead leaves. The lawn had not been cut or weeded and needed much attention, a shame as the outlook had potential but had not been executed. Day 2, came back from attending a Wedding, house keeping had been but not emptied bin in the bathroom or bedroom so they were overflowing on the 3rd morning before check out. Beds had not been made either, we had tidied both up a little before leaving the room and expected to find them re-made fully on returning which is normally the case. Complimentary water, milk and coffee pods had been restocked however which we were grateful for. Fresh towels provided too which was nice.

Summary: Although a comfortable room, sadly did not meet expectations given the premium price of £370 paid.
