Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: My room was clean, nicely decorated and well thought-out with everything you could need (there were also refills of coffee, tea, shampoo etc. downstairs if you ran out of anything.) There's also a gorgeous communal sitting room. The included breakfast was a good selection of cereals, fruit, toast with butter and jam, croissant and a couple of meats. You could also pre-order a cooked breakfast at extra charge if you wanted. All the staff I met were really friendly and the waitress at breakfast remembered I needed oat milk without me having to ask, which was nice. It's on a quiet street with a few unusual shops, a couple of other bars and a corner shop directly opposite if you need any snacks. Just a couple of minutes walk to the seafront and a little further to the town centre.

Negative: The pub itself is only open Fri-Sun, so wasn't actually open during my stay, which was a shame as it would have been nice to have had a meal or a drink there, but on the plus side it was very quiet. It also meant there were no staff there in the evening, but emergency contact numbers were given, so I'm sure if any problem had arisen it would have been easily sorted.
