Positive: Loved woodburner in back restaurant - at breakfast as well as in the evening. Loved attitude to dogs - we didn't have our own, but enjoyed other peoples! Excellent selection for cooked breakfast. Our room was warm and comfortable - really appreciated this in the very cold snap. Home made biscuits and chocolate bites a delightful extra - and renewed as needed! Great to be able to reserve a newspaper at the farm shop opposite.

Negative: Suppers became a bit samey after 4 nights. For our tastes a little bit lacking in bite/interest/garlic!

Summary: Perfect post-New Year break. Great walks from the door.
