Heading outside via a door beside the kitchen you will pass a patio area surrounded by old stone walls and furnished with a table and chairs. There is a generous level lawn and pretty borders to admire.

Burton Bradstock is a pretty village, famous for its position along the Jurassic Coast and its iconic sandstone cliffs marking the start of Chesil Beach. Home to a popular holiday park, pubs, a post office, tearooms and cafes it provides a real slice of idyllic Dorset life by the sea.
The cliffs offer one of the finest examples of the distinctive, alternate hard and soft layered geology of the Bridport Sands which make it appear to glow bright gold in the sunlight. The regular rock falls can often expose some important and fascinating fossils, such as ammonites, recognised by their ribbed spiral-formed shell.
A break in the cliff formation provides access to the National Trust owned Hive Beach. The beach provides a wonderful location for families to enjoy and is a favourite with visitors and locals alike, offering views east and west along the stunning Jurassic Coastline.
If you’re a lover of fine food then you will not be disappointed here, as Burton Bradstock boasts one of the finest seafood restaurants in the area. The Hive Beach Cafe has won numerous awards for the standard of its local produce and provides a wonderful selection of tantalising dishes to enjoy within a stunning coastal setting.
Burton Bradstock also hosts the wonderful Spring Tide Food Festival each May, which gives visitors the chance to purchase fresh fish and local meat, artisan bread, cheeses and a selection of locally made beer and cider. Burton Bradstock provides a wonderful location to make your base while visiting Dorset. The busy market town of Bridport is only a short drive away and there are many walking routes to explore including the breath-taking cliff top route to West Bay.
