Positive: Loved the location, so easy to walk everywhere & it was quiet & peaceful, & the Common was lovely to look out on. Loved the mattress on the bed in ground floor bedroom...comfy. Loved the basement drying room. It was brilliant. Very grateful that they had an electric fan. Loved bath & heated bathroom. Inspite of the negatives, we became very fond of this little house & were grateful to stay there. We would happily stay again.

Negative: We found the amount of personal data requested by the management firm, their need for a 300 pound damages deposit a couple of days before arrival & their lack of flexibility in the giving of necessary information to us in anticipation of our arrival very stressful & offputting. To their credit if I asked a direct question they answered promptly, but we were not impressed to arrive in the UK, waiting to catch a train to Cambridge only an hour before we could checkin & have to contact them because they STILL hadnt advised the full adress. There is no way to use the shower without getting water all over the floor. There are 5 levels to this house connected by steep narrow stairs. Manageable with care for big footed people like ourselves! The pillows smelled musty. The duvet was appropriate for arctic weather, not the end of summer, so we removed it from the cover & just used cover, the one throw rug in the house & my pashmina as bed covers. The kitchen cupboards need a spring clean & reorganising.
