Positive: My standout experience at The Portland in Ashington was without question the staff. Every single one of them went the extra mile. They were attentive, friendly, and the service felt genuine and personal rather than corporate. You could tell they truly cared about the guests. Whoever is responsible for recruitment clearly has a great eye for people, because the team here is exceptional and makes this hotel what it is.

Negative: Nothing to dislike. There is not a lot to do in Ashington itself but we were here for a wedding in the local area and it was a great choice for what we needed.
