Summary: Our room was spacious and clean with good facilites including a hairdryer and an iron, however it was dated and and could definitely do with being renovated. The bed was very soft and didnt suit me but that is a question of preference. We had a lovely dinner with friends. We all chise the Sunday roast and it was excellent. The service was a bit hit and miss but overall we enjoyed the meal.Excellent breakfast menu with lots of choices and staff were very welcoming. Lots of free parking which is an added bonus. My biggest gripe was that we arrived with two heavy suitcases and we are both in our sixites and had to lug them up flights of stairs and along corridors as there is no lift. Overall we enjoyed our stay and it wasnt too expensive, it is a lovely old building with lots of character but it definitely needs some tlc.
