Summary: Lovely place to stay near Newmarket, I had booked it because it offered rooms with baths. I was travelling with work and knew I wanted an early night and a bath. Hotels.com listed the available room as having the option of a bath so i requested it. To be fair the hotel never confirmed the request and i forgot to follow up. When i arrived in the afternoon I was given a room with a shower only , I asked if it was possible to change but unfortunately it wasn’t. Everything else about the stay was perfect, a couple of minor maintenance issues in the bathroom (dirty grout and mirror light not working) but otherwise spotless, comfy bed, quiet and staff couldn’t have been nicer. Food was good. I was disappointed that it wasn’t possible to have a bath in the room and would have booked somewhere else if I had known in advance. Might be a good idea to modify the hotels.com listing.
