Summary: On arrival, the reception desk was extremely dusty. We entered our room and we found a sock from a previous visitor at the foot of our bed, there was plaster work that hadn’t been sanded down and painted over, the top of the wardrobe was covered in dust, the mattress protector was stained/dirty, and the walls are so thin that on our first night, we could hear children running around in the room above us until the early hours of the morning. There were also multiple stains across the carpet underneath the desk and the ironing board had a huge burn in it. The location itself is great, and right by the train station, but the lack of attention to detail is a shame for what could generally be a nice hotel. It felt to us like the room should have been taken out of service and the damage to walls fixed and then the room could be let out.
