Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: A cosy, welcoming pub hotel with good food and comfortable, quiet bedrooms. We'd love to have experienced the garden area but were visiting in winter.

Negative: A few cobwebs in the rooms, which actually seems very common in English hotels. We are not sure why places can't attend to these basic things to optimise the cleanliness and appearance of rooms. The staff were polite but not brilliant at customer service and the TV in the room needs updating so it can offer the latest apps to enable linking with smart phones. For example we couldn't even connect to YouTube to enjoy some of our shows, which would have been ideal.
