Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The warm welcome from all the staff was great. We ate in both nights and the food was exceptional, two of us had lamb steaks and they just melted in the mouth served with a gorgeous jus. Be warned though the portions are NOT small. We found both the food and drink very reasonably priced. Our bathroom was very roomy and smart with a really good over the bath shower.

Negative: If I was going to be picky I would say that it would have been good to have some yoghurt/fruit at breakfast but otherwise the breakfast food was good. Nothing else to fault.

Summary: Great pub in lovely setting by a river with great staff.
